Qualification :

• Certificate of Competency (COC) Class 1 (Master) Foreign Going Unlimited Trade Voyage

Experience Required :

• At least 5 years sea experience as Senior Officer onboard vessel
• At least 3 years working experience as Marine Captain or pilotage or inspector or consultancy work.
• Ability to be proactive by planning and taking into account the contingencies and emergencies for safe operations.
• Preferably candidates with experience in oil and gas and Offshore Support Vessels

The Job :

• Provide support and advice on adherence to national and international rules and regulations, guidelines and conventions pertaining to marine operations and requirements.
• Perform all marine and marine related operations at marine base and offshore locations and to ensure they are conducted in a safe, efficient, consistent and professional manner.
• Plan and coordinate all marine related functions for offshore and production operations and maintain record pertaining to marine activities conducted as instructed by Client.
• Plan and coordinate marine vessel performance such as on-hire/off-hire survey, fuel consumption monitoring, liaison with vessel owner and master, safety program/equipment, safety meeting etc.
• Prepare and update the technical specifications of vessel for Client’s requirement.
• Provide technical advice and evaluation of spot charter requirement of vessel for offshore activities.
• Coordinate and enforce the International Safety Standard (ISS) for all marine related activities.
• Liaise with marine authorities.
• Provide consultancy and track marine logistics services performance through effective monitoring of fuel consumption and analysing OSV/Contractor operational performance.
• Implement Business Improvement Initiative that can improve the productivity and the efficiency for marine operation
• Responsible in supervisory of the day-to-day offshore activities and control of simultaneous operations to ensure that the Facilities/Marine requirements are met in a safe and cost-effective manner until completed.
• Perform all marine operations safely to safeguard people, the integrity of all subsea facilities, assets and environment including minimizing cost impact in accordance with client’s requirements.
• Responsible to the CSR and is the liaison between operations/contractors and the onshore support Facilities/Marine services.
• Coordinate in safely manner and practicable to commence operations in consultation with the Barge Master / Rig Mover/Work Boat Master and the Tow/AHT/AHTS vessel Master with reference to relevant approved procedure.
• Execute any additional tasks on marine related matters but not limited to to the above as required by Company and Client.

Salary & Benefit :

• RM 9,000 – RM12,000
