Job Scopes:

• Implement and enforce the daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance for electrical equipment.
• Check to ensure all electrical panel and equipment are safe to operate and function correctly.
• Check to ensure all electrical equipment and switch board panel are safe for usage according to Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) Energy Commission standard.
• Study and analyse to ensure all Safety Operating Procedure (SOP) for every electrical machinery and switchboard panel are in place and adhered to accordingly.
• Carry out on time reparation actions on breakdowns of electrical equipment and machineries to minimize disruptions or delays caused to the mill’s operation and to keep downtime rate at a minimum level.
• Implement periodic preventive maintenance work for all electrical equipment and components.
• Carry out interval servicing and cleaning up for the electrical control panel board.
• Execute servicing maintenance for all drive motors and arrange for burned motors to be sent for rewinding.
• Coordinate and allocate all works and tasks delegated to the wireman.
• Arrange for wireman to take Ampere readings of all machineries when mill is in operation.
• Promptly respond to breakdowns occurred in the mill at any time either day or night.
• Investigate and trouble shoot all electrical problems in the shortest time possible to identify root cause and carry out repairs immediately.
• Take temperature for motors and contactors by infrared camera every month or any necessary period.
• Ensure lockout/tagout (LOTO) system is implemented accordingly.
• Carry out Carry out any other duties or ad hoc tasks as assigned by immediate Superior/ Management

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma/ Higher Certificate in Electrical or its equivalent.
• Registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga or Jabatan Bekalan Elektrik.
• Competent Chargeman Certificate (A4/ A1/ AO Category).
• At least three years working experience in same capacity, preferably in similar or related industries.
• Preferably bilingual in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Knowledgeable in Electrical building services, Low Voltage Electrical System, Electricity Supply Act and Electricity Regulation.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
