Responsibilities:

  • The Regional Lead Programme Manager shall ensure that the team members understand the scope of work, and are equipped, to be able to deliver high, quality, professional outputs.
  • The Regional Lead Programme Manager shall actively network with researchers, NGOs and other resources persons to be able to access expertise and knowledge to benefit the Programme.
  • The Regional Lead Programme Manager shall ensure that he/she shall continue to develop relevant technical knowledge and expertise in order to add value to the Programme.
  • The Regional Lead Programme Manager shall play a leading role for proposal development and writing, budgeting and finances as well as progress monitoring.
  • The Regional Lead Programme Manager shall participate in monthly inter-Department meetings and other relevant meetings, in order to support the business development of the Programme.
  • The Regional Lead Programme Manager, shall ensure that the respective Unit Leads, or team members, are supported to ensure that they are able to communicate effectively, openly and that there are regular opportunities for team and individual reviews.
  • The results of these reviews should be communicated to the relevant Director(s) and where possible, supported by specific proposals, to ensure that the Department and its Units can function effectively.

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Masters or Degree in Agricultural / Forestry / Social / Environmental Studies or equivalent.
  • 7 to 8 years experiences in the related field.
  • Candidates that have experience in the palm oil industry background will be considered
  • Candidates do not fulfil the requirement will not be entertained
  • An understanding of the palm oil sector specifically in Malaysia.
  • An understanding of RSPO & other palm-oil related sustainability standard requirements.
  • Experience in conducting industrial standard audits (MSPO, RSPO, ISCC, OHSAS, EIA, SIA, HCV & etc.) will be an added advantage.
  • Must have the ability to speak in Mandarin.
  • Writing in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
  • Able to speak and write fluently in English and other local languages (s).
  • Ability to analyze data and visualize the information will be an added advantage.
  • Possess advanced computer skills (MS Office – Word, Excel and PowerPoint and work with other relevant in-house data management platforms).
  • Must be physically healthy and flexible to travel.
  • Possess a valid driving license (car).
